"How the Princess Turned One"

The princess was sleeping when she heard the singing BIRDS.
"Get up, Princess!", they sang. "It's your birthday! Time to find the cake that will turn you into a one year old!".
The sleepy princess opened her eyes. She YAWNED, stretched, and made her plan to find the Enchanted Rose Cake.
On her way to town the princess tripped over a FROG and landed in a sticker bush. It took an hour to get all the stickers off, but then she was off to town!
The princess ran super fast to the Village Lego Workshop. It was the perfect place to get a coach to the Royal Treasure Ball. She picked a green car, honked the HORN, and drove off to the Ball.
At the Ball the princess saw all of her friends dancing to the pretty music. The princess WAVED, and asked them for help to find her cake. They found cookies and candies, but no cake.
"Let's Go!", they shouted.
The princess and her friends looked all over the Kiddie Kingdom Playland for the Enchanted Rose Cake. They slid down the slide. No cake there. They climbed all the trees. Still no cake. They even asked the Great Wizards' DOG if he had seen it.
The only place left to look was the Magic Castle. KNOCK, KNOCK. They all pounded on the castle doors. As they stepped inside they saw what looked like a million steps and a hundred rooms.
"Hurry, Hurry!" The princess pleaded. Time was running out.
One by one they climbed the stairs of the Magic Castle. They Looked in every room. Running so fast they almost stepped on the Royal CAT! Until they came to the last room in the highest tower.
There it was! The Enchanted Rose Cake! Sitting by the window with one candle lit. The candle was melting so fast, it was almost gone. She could hear the CLOCK chime as each minute passed.
The princess ran to the candle, took the biggest breath she could, made her birthday wish, and blew! Poof! The candle was out just as the CLOCK struck 8:27 at night.
"Yes!". The princess shouted. She was now a one year old! Her friends all CHEERED for her and helped her eat every bite of the Enchanted Rose Cake.

I loved it again! I'm so sorry that I ended up with your copy of the book, but I have shared it with many people.
Sarah is creative and clever. I thought the book was wonderful, but it was really amazing that she had the children going to the Village Lego Kingdom, The Sticker Bush, all the places in the book, ending with finding the beautiful enchanted rose cake that the Queen Mother baked herself. Again, Sarah is amazing!
