Interesting. A Kansas City man was teaching his girlfriend firearm safety this last weekend when he shot himself in the head while doing so. He died Saturday night. Apparently he was teaching her about the importance of using the safeties on three different guns. He put the first gun on safety then demonstrated how effective the switch is by pointing the loaded gun to his head and pulling the trigger. The safety worked. I guess the point was made. He then did it again with a second gun and demonstrated how the safety switch helped prevent accidents. After pulling the trigger the gun did not discharge, thus making his point again. As Lionel Richie says, "Once, Twice, Three times a..." MORON! The third gun's safety must have been faulty or not totally activated and this idiot teacher of firearm safety (may he rest in peace) blew his brains out! If one feels qualified to teach firearm safety, one should know the first rule...ALWAYS ACT AS IF THE GUN IS LOADED AND CAN GO OFF!!! NEVER POINT A GUN AT YOUR HEAD AND PULL THE TRIGGER!!!!! Remember, people; guns don't kill people, Dolts kill themselves!

Horrible! I never trust a gun to be unloaded or on safety. I always thought the first line of gun safety was...never point a gun...ever...at anyone.
So sad.
