Heeeeeeeeee'sssssss Back!!!!

That's Right! I'm Back! I am sick of this private blog thing. I came to a crossroads. Either I abandon blogging all together or I start anew with lessons learned under my belt. I have chosen the latter. Please check me out!

I hope to see you there.

It Was a Mountain High Thanksgiving!

Welcome to the Trospers! This is our new sign for the cabin at Timber Lakes, Utah. Totally awesome, isn't it?!
It is a gift from our good friend Wade Griffiths. He is an awesome dude, and I am quite blessed to call him friend. This gift is too nice.
We got some snow before and after Thanksgiving. It is always nice, the first snow of the year.
We spent Thanksgiving at the cabin and occasionally drifted into town. One of these times was to eat at Tommy's BBQ at Old Heber Village. They profess to be Texas BBQ, so I was immediately doubtful. As it turns out, it was Texas style and was fairly good. Not the best, but good.
Our little turkey.
Scooter was not too fond of the cabin this time around. It was sooooo cold the whole time and we had lots of snow. This makes for uncomfortable pooping and peeing trips outside for him.
Scott, Cynthia and Grace came to visit us for Thanksgiving and we loved having them.
Leah waiting to go out.
The Jeep as seen from the guest room.

We had a great time with my family though Dad, Jim, Samantha, Hailey and Madyson were missing. We wish they would have made it. It would have been crowded, but totally worth it.
Isn't she a cutie?
Leah gets her goofiness from Sarah. Not at all from me.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner at the Stein Ericksen Lodge in Park City, UT. It was good, but still lacked the ever important and impossible to recreate at a restaurant feel of Thanksgiving.
The food was good as far as buffet standards are concerned. It better be at $65 a pop! With that said, I am not a big buffet fan. I think every one else liked it though.
This is one blessing I am grateful for.
With Grace around, Leah reverted a little bit back to her baby years as you can see here in Grace's baby carrier.
Scotty and his little angel, Grace. Grace loves to stick her tongue out.
Grandma and half of her grand-daughters.
Scott, Cynthia and Leah Trosper

Leah loved and hugged on these wolves until the store owner was about to give us the boot!
I kept saying, "It is amazing that she looks just like Scott, but so dang cute!"
Leah trying to steal some of Grandma's dessert.

"We are a happy Family!"
Sarah, Leah and I waiting for dinner at the SE Lodge in Park City, UT

We got 3 1/2 feet of snow in two days before Thanksgiving. We would have received more, but the temperature dropped to zero or lower for several days making it too cold to snow. The lowest temp while we were at the cabin was minus 18, but that was without the wind chill.

Our backyard

Our front yard.
Our neighbor across the way.
Grace all bundled up for the snow.
Sarah and Leah doing their best impression of Ralphie's brother from "A Christmas Story"..."I can't put down my arms!"
Scooter watching some boob tube at the cabin.
Leah got some early Christmas gifts from Grandma, Scott, Cynthia, Grace, Jim, Samantha, Hailey and Madyson. This is a goodie bag she got from Jim, Sam and the girls.
Leah coloring in the book from Jim's family.
Sarah and Leah battling with icicles!
Happy Thanksgiving from the Trosper Clan!
Scott and Cynthia

Leave some snow on the mountain, Cynthia! Cynthia was totally wowed by the snow.
Sarah ready to set a new state record on the snow tube!
Scooter wore his camouflage outfit. Where'd he go?!
This is about as much as Mum came outside!
Cousins
My little snow angel
What a cute little ball of fleece
Snowball fight!!
The face says it all..."AAAHHHHHH!!!"
I present to you the 2010 Timber Lakes Snow Queen!

Leah loves the snow. So much that she will brave the cold for however long she can to play in it.

Fashion Show: Leah trying on every hat, glove and scarf warming around the stove.

We were so blessed to have Mum not only visit, but she has also decided to move up to Utah. We are so excited.
Grace turned 6 months while at the Buck N' Beaver Lodge! Solid foods for the first time and a bright future for Cynthia as she contemplates retiring from the breast feeding biz.

Did I mention that Leah loved her Cindy Lou Who bag and goodies?

After many good suggestions and much contemplation, we have decided to name the cabin "The Buck N' Beaver Lodge". Our cabin sits on the intersection of Buck Way and Beaver Circle. In fact the lot number is 2015 Buck Way while our address is 11918 Beaver Circle. Therefore, the Buck N' Beaver Lodge is a very fitting name and sounds cool.
The Jeep did okay on the steep hills with snow so long as it was equipped with chains. The Subaru on the other hand did great just with the snow tires. There is not a doubt in my mind why the US Ski Team has chosen Subarus as their vehicle of choice. I still have no idea why butch lesbians and tree huggers love them. Great cars though.
For some weird reason that I can't explain, Leah loves the fridge and will run to it to sit or stand in it whenever the door is open.
Sarah and Mum sharing girlie conversations.
Leah resting on Mt. Daddy.
With it being so cold out, we spent a lot of time playing Scrabble, Sequence, Apples to Apples, Dominoes and other games.
We stepped away and braved the cold every now and then though.

Man, did we eat good and we still had a ton of food left.
Leah was going a little crazy after the cabin fever set in.
More hats and gloves.

Anyone want to buy a tractor with snow blower attachment?
We shoveled and blew a lot of snow this week. I was grateful for Scott's help.
There is so much for me to be thankful for. My favorite word is gratitude and I love Thanksgiving for that reason. It is the one time that each of us are caused to reflect on our blessings. I am so convinced, as I have seen in my life, that the more I express sincere gratitude to our Heavenly Father for all that I have, two things will happen...1) He will continue to bless me and will not limit my happiness. 2) I will never go without; I will always have sufficient for my needs. I am thankful for my knowledge of these things. I am thankful He is aware of me and my family. I am so blessed to have the greatest family a person could want. I cannot express enough gratitude, but will spend the rest of my life trying to.
